In addition to dance performance shows and a lecture by futurologist Matthias Horx, the "Beste Pranke" award was also presented on the first evening of the event. Even though the motto of the event highlights war "Future", for the "Beste Pranke" award Brunner looked back to the past. The first of a total of four partner events, each with almost 200 participants, took place in May.

The electronic stove control regulates the interaction of the heat pump, tiled stove boiler and buffer storage unit. The display of the entire system’s control is self-explanatory. The system can also be controlled via smartphone if required. All in all, a comprehensive package from Brunner.

This short report about the construction of a masonry heater does not describe an everyday project. We witnessed the construction of a masonry heater, which involved an artist, a master stove builder together with their crew, a carpenter and a joiner. The result is a large masonry heater with Brunner’s proven firebox. The high temperatures of the combustion chamber are buffered in a hand-crafted masoned storage unit and then released onto the people in the room - a meditation room in this case - at pleasant temperatures over a long period of time. In addition, the heating gases flow around a heating compartment with hand-forged doors. The stove builders mastered a special challenge by statically securing the upper gallery with integrated steel supports. The result is a real work of art in terms of oven technology.
