The family of climate-friendly BKH heating fireplaces from the Lower Bavarian premium manufacturer BRUNNER continues to grow. Additional formats are added in flat, tunnel and corner versions. All BKH “green-line” models feature low-emission combustion technology that is unique in the industry. They can be further optimised at any time, with a flue gas catalytic converter and the proven electronic combustion control (EAS).
The combustion chamber geometry of the BKH fireplaces green - grateless combustion or ash box - and the matching combustion air inlets are revolutionary: Extremely clean combustion is achieved by the selective metering of the main and secondary air components with a single control element. BRUNNER green heating fireplace inserts do not only comply with all legal thresholds, they even fall below them - regardless of whether the system is manually operated or equipped with the EAS automatic combustion system. The product-specific settings of the two air components for the respective combustion situations are determined on the test bench and preset mechanically or stored in the stove setting. All components, from the combustion air system to the outside air connection and the air flap actuator, can be easily reached and installed via the combustion chamber.
The BRUNNER BKH fireplaces green do not only stand out because of their extremely clean combustion, but also because of their overall design. Selected models fit flush with the wall thanks to a standard design with heat protection plates and replacement insulation material. There are no protruding components or assemblies on the fireplace insert, with a wall thickness of up to 6 centimetres, the installation of the fireplace casing is quick and easy with little need for insulation in general. Many of the BKH fireplaces green components that are subject to high mechanical and thermal loads are installed within the construction, which makes them very resistant. The viewing glass is selected optionally with heat-reflecting glass ceramic and the firebox walls are available in natural-coloured fireclay or cast iron with a ribbed profile. Depending on the fireplace system, there are flat or conventional cast iron bonnets, metal or ceramic cast iron or storage ring attachments for storage fireplaces or hot air stoves, as well as the variant with an adjacent reheating surface. All BKH green models are available with manual operation or stove control.
The BKH series now comprises a total of 13 formats in the flat fireplace, tunnel fireplace and corner fireplace versions. New additions are BKH flat in sizes 42-98 and 50-82, BKH tunnel in 42-98 and 50-82 as well as BKH corner in 42-66-42 with hinged or sliding door. The two large new formats BKH corner in 42-98-42 and 50-82-42 are only available with a sliding door. The tunnel fireplaces are controlled from any side, while the corner fireplaces can be opened to the left or right.
Because legal emission requirements may become even stricter, the “green-line” BKHs are designed for the future and can be upgraded to the next "green +" level at any time by means of a catalytic converter and electronic combustion control (EAS). The catalyst is an element with a coated sponge structure. It is installed in a cast iron ring element between the combustion chamber and the heating gas bonnet. Retrofitting of the "metal cage" with the individual catalyst elements is possible in no time at all. A study has shown: With their help, BRUNNER heating fireplaces can reduce CO emissions by up to 80 percent and hydrocarbons by over 50 percent. While the EAS provides its optimised combustion air supply, which ensures less wood consumption and reduces emissions even further.
