A corner fireplace is space-saving
Not every flat and every house has an infinite amount of space; in fact, it is usually rather scarce. That is why the fireplace insert for a corner fireplace is ideal. The body or its wall-sided surfaces form a right angle. This makes the installation in the corner of the room possible. The installation flush with the wall saves a lot of space - and gives unused corners a whole new shine. Another advantage: by placing it diagonally in the corner, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the fire across the entire room through the viewing glass. And: a corner stove fits in perfectly with any style of furnishing. However, the connection to the chimney also has to be in the corresponding corner.
This keeps the viewing glass clear
A long-lasting clean fireplace viewing glass depends on the construction, the negative pressure in the chimney and the operation. Fuel quality and wood quantity also have a great influence on the cleanliness of the corner glazing. Only with dry firewood, fuel quantities that meet the specifications for the respective combustion chamber and correctly set combustion air controls will the required temperatures and flow conditions for glass rinsing be achieved. Regular cleaning of the ceramic glass is nevertheless essential. As a general rule, glass cleaning is recommended after two to ten heating operations, depending on the intensity of use of the fireplace. The BRUNNER combustion air control design ensures that the incoming air reduces the build-up of soot and dust particles in front of the viewing glass. The glass guide and door profile prevent this protective screen from being disturbed by leaks. Soot plumes cannot form on the glazing in the first place. Small, straight glass formats stay clean the longest. Two- or even three-sided glass constructions, as in a corner fireplace insert, must be cleaned more frequently because of the turbulent flow processes in the corner areas.

There's no question about it, there's something appealing about an open fireplace, you can't get any closer to a wood fire in your own four walls. You can feel the warmth of the flames directly, you can hear the crackling of the logs, you can even smell the wood. Anyone who buys an open fireplace is (at first) primarily interested in atmosphere, not heat output. But then it can happen that the system stops working more frequently. Perhaps because there are draught problems or the fireplace makes a mess. Or too much wood is being burnt almost uselessly. Children may live in the household and the fire cannot be left unattended for even a short time. In such cases, the retrofitting of a closed fireplace insert is a good idea. This fireplace insert - or also fireplace cassette or heating cassette - can be custom-made and fitted precisely.
