The BRUNNER plinth frame is already familiar to many turning-fireplace craftsmen. What is new is that it can now also be processed universally in the customised construction of stoves and fireplaces. The advantage: It always allows for perfect passage between the system shell and the floor covering.
The specialist can be recognised by the detail: A flawlessly executed finish to the floor rounds off the visual appearance of any wood-burning heating system. With an exemplary shadow gap at the transition to the mounting frame and a plinth frame at the end to the floor covering. Premium manufacturer BRUNNER based in Lower Bavaria can now supply this for handcrafted stoves and fireplaces. The plinth frame can be realised quite simply and by combining corner and side elements for any rectangular layout. The elements can be combined in a customised way, extended and shortened. All components of the BRUNNER plinth frame can be connected to each other through an integrated nut/spring system. By anchoring the plinth frame to the floor every 50 centimetres with the support feet provided, it is statically loadable. It is designed for ceiling-high superstructures with fireplace building boards with a wall thickness of three to four centimetres and for an actual load of 200 kilograms per linear metre of skirting board.
Air grilles never look nice and hinder the view of a stove or fireplace system. The air inlets, which are incorporated into the plinth frame but still cannot be seen, are designed so that sufficient combustion air can flow in. Air supply openings inside the fireplace or stove shell are no longer required. The construction method determines whether recirculation grilles are needed at all. A further advantage: With the exception of the corner element, the side-mounted plinth panels are removable by means of magnets, for a continuous surface without annoying screws. In addition to a visual effect, this not only makes cleaning easier, but also provides access to plug and cable connections on combustion controls.
Where previously a steel plinth frame had to be specially made - which meant a lot of planning and work across all trades - the BRUNNER plinth frame is now a prefabricated modular system. An aid for craftsmen that can also be used to easily level uneven or sloping floors. The perfect base for all stove and fireplace shells.
