BRUNNER Heating systems are something special. With quality made in Germany, maximum efficiency and the best emission values, BRUNNER boilers are among the best of their kind. Heating the Bavarian way.
The personal declaration of independence, so to speak, for all customers who can and want to heat their house with their own wood. Inexpensive, with wood from your own or local forestry. The wood must be dried and stored accordingly.
Large, solid cast-iron door with automatic door lock and particularly large filling chute
The large opening of the filling chute makes it particularly convenient to load the boiler with ½ metre long logs. The cast-iron door is self-adjusting, so that the door continues to close reliably and tightly even after numerous openings. The safety interlock protects against unintentional gas leaks during carbonation and the risk of deflagration. With a filling chamber volume of 170 litres (approx. 60 kg beech wood), the heating comfort is increased by long-lasting combustion and extended reheating intervals. The automatic, standard ignition in combination with the above-average filling shaft leads to top-class heating comfort. After the buffer tank has already been filled with one burn-off, the filling shaft is completely filled once again. If the buffer temperature falls below an adjustable level, the boiler then ignites automatically and fills the buffer tank again. This doubles the reheating interval - nothing stops a winter weekend excursion.
BRUNNER log gasification boilers have an integrated
ignition mechanism. Operating the cleaning mechanism and
the fuel feed with 40-80 kg wood is still manual work
- after that, everything is automatic. When heat is required, the
combustion is started and controlled over the entire period of approx. 5-10
hours with low emissions. In winter, the wood boiler
is heated daily or every second day. Instructions for cleaning
and ash removal are shown on the touch display in good time.
Sufficient space for water heating buffer tank
During combustion, a wood boiler generates significantly more
heat than is currently required. For the continuous
heat supply to the heating system, water heating
buffer tanks with a total volume of 2000-
4000 litres are installed. Heat surpluses are collected,
and distributed through the heating system when needed.
Replacement for the outdated log boiler
Wood boilers have to be measured
by the chimney sweep on a regular basis. In the case of old wood boilers, the emission specifications
according to the law are no longer complied with and the operating licence
expires. Modern log gasifiers fulfil all valid
threshold values and offer significantly more in terms of safety, reliability,
service life and ease of operation. The emission values are far below the threshold values required by the law without additional separation and filter devices. In customised versions for the existing boiler dimensions, they are placed close to the side wall. Handles and filling shaft door are made of cast iron design for frequent use.
The emission values are far below the strict legal threshold values without additional separation and filter devices. This once again demonstrates the outstanding combustion quality of all BRUNNER products. The boiler board includes as standard the control for boiler, heating circuits, hot water, solar and eventually auxiliary heating (e.g. existing gas or oil boiler).
In conjunction with the BRUNNER heating centre the BSV log heating system can be extended and combined as desired: Hot water preparation via fresh water station, additional heating circuits, use of surplus solar power (PV integration). And all this with a single control and a uniform user interface: with just one glance at the glass touch display, you can see all the important parameters regarding the boiler status as well as buffer tank temperatures. A simple and clear display ensures self-explanatory operation of the entire heating system.
The combustion is controlled by a lambda probe, a speed-controlled induced draft fan and electronically controlled air dampers. This leads to excellent fuel utilisation and increases the combustion quality. The heat exchanger cleaning system ensures that the effectiveness of the heat exchanger remains constant.
Air dampers with actuators and ignition as well as combustion chamber are visible from the front, individually accessible and thus extremely easy to maintain. The combustion air control via lambda probe and electronically controlled air dampers enable emissions that are significantly below the existing threshold values.
The assembly
Easy removal of the boiler from the transport pallet without special aids. The boiler can be installed in almost all cases without dismantling the boiler cladding. The lateral side of the door stop can be changed without any modifications to the drives.
Operation and maintenance
The BSV runs remarkably quietly and is designed for low-maintenance operation. With the integrated ash pan, ash removal is child's play. Of course, the boiler informs you via control panel or smartphone as soon as cleaning or maintenance is due.
Comfortable
BRUNNER log boilers have an integrated, automatic ignition as standard. If the buffer temperature falls below an adjustable level, the boiler ignites automatically and heats up the buffer tank again. Practical, as there is always a complete boiler filling (approx. 60 kg of hardwood) on "standby". The reheating intervals can be extended and you can enjoy the weekend off.
Safe
BRUNNER log boilers have an interlock for the filling and combustion chamber door. Embedded in an integrated safety concept, smouldering gas leakage and the risk of deflagration can be minimised regardless of user behaviour.
Maintenance-friendly
Nearly all components can be reached from the front. The ignition element and servomotors are mounted behind the centre inspection door and are easily accessible. The hand lever for mechanical heat exchanger cleaning can be fitted on the left or right.
Everything on board
The boiler board contains the controls for the boiler, heating circuits, hot water, solar and other heat generators (e.g. existing gas or oil boiler) as standard. An existing heating system can be integrated into the system control.
With the touch display, you always have your heating in view. All functions are displayed and operated centrally. In the online access to "my heating", the familiar display view is reproduced 1:1. Simply register with myBRUNNER and install the app. Access to your own heating is possible with any internet-capable end device.
A heating system that anyone can operate.
BRUNNER boilers have an integrated touch display. A quick glance is enough and the current heat situation of the building is recorded. All functions of the heating system - and not just those of the boiler - can be set and operated via the graphic interface. A second display with a white or black glass plate can be installed in the living room or entrance area. This way, you always have a quick overview of the current heating situation.
If you heat with your own wood, you make yourself independent of fossil heat carriers. A modern wood heating system can also supply existing and large houses with heat sustainably and comfortably. When planning, the storage location and wood requirements must be taken into account. In general, modifications to the chimney are not necessary. BRUNNER wood heating systems can also be ideally combined with solar thermal, photovoltaic or other heat generators.
The annual wood requirement can be determined by the building standard and
the living space to be heated. For example, with a previous annual oil consumption of 1,500 litres, approx. 8 cubic metres of hardwood or 12 cubic metres of softwood are required per year.
If wood that is too moist, treated or varnished is burnt, deposits will form in the boiler and chimney. In addition to the cleaning effort, there are also increased emissions and signs of wear. The perfect wood stove uses natural logs that are split from 10 cm (3.93 inches) in diameter. In addition to dry logs, wood briquettes and untreated wood slats can also be burnt. Pellets or wood residues (shavings, chips) are best suited as a lighting aid, placed in front of the ignition element.
The operation of the BRUNNER log boiler is simple and intuitive. All settings can be made logically and without instructions on the high-resolution colour display for viewing values such as status or boiler output. We only use as many technical terms as are actually required. Our in-house electronics department takes care of programming and perfectly tuning the control system.
